Faisalabad: October 27 (DIGITAL ITLA) — The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested a suspect involved in a major online financial fraud case during a targeted operation in Faisalabad.
According to details, the accused, identified as Muhammad Yunus—a resident of Jhang—contacted a local citizen by posing as his friend based in the United States. The accused lured the victim by falsely promising the transfer of 9,500 US dollars into his account and shared fabricated transaction receipts, ultimately manipulating the victim into transferring millions of rupees online.
Upon receiving a formal complaint, NCCIA launched an immediate inquiry and successfully apprehended the suspect. The accused was subsequently presented before a court, where investigators secured a two-day physical remand to recover the looted amounts and complete procedural probes.
