Wars are Won with Faith, Unity, and Discipline: Field Marshal Asim Munir

(Digital Itla) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad, where he delivered a special address to the graduating officers of the National Security and War Course. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal spoke in detail about the changing nature of warfare, challenges facing national security, and modern military requirements.

He stated that mental and intellectual clarity, institutional professionalism, and continuous training are indispensable for effectively tackling complex strategic issues. He remarked that wars are not won by political sloganeering; rather, the golden principles of faith, unity, and discipline are the guarantees of success. Expressing complete confidence in the professionalism, high morale, and operational readiness of the Pakistan Armed Forces, he directed the graduate officers to discharge their professional responsibilities with integrity, selfless service, and high moral standards.

He added that higher education institutions like NDU play a pivotal role in training military and civil leadership, and that Pakistan's leadership possesses the full capability to deal with hybrid, conventional, and non-conventional threats. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces are continuously improving their operational readiness in line with the changing nature of warfare, while restructuring developmental strategies to meet new requirements. He noted that enemy intelligence agencies are engaged in efforts to destabilize Pakistan, but all designs of proxies and networks operating under their patronage will be foiled. He made it clear that no attempt to harm Pakistan's internal security and economic prosperity would be allowed. The Field Marshal expressed resolve that cross-border terrorism would be crushed with the full might of the state, and the complete elimination of terrorist sanctuaries and their facilitators would be ensured with the full support of the nation. According to ISPR, the President of NDU welcomed Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir upon his arrival at the university.
