Field Marshal and Libya's Deputy Commander-in-Chief Meet, Agree on Military Training Cooperation

(Digital Itla) Libya's Arab Armed Forces Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Sadam al-Khalifa, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the meeting between Field Marshal Asim Munir and the Deputy Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces took place at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. Upon arrival at GHQ, the distinguished guest was presented a guard of honor by a smartly turned-out contingent of the tri-services.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation, defense cooperation, and prospects for further enhancing military ties between the armed forces of both countries were discussed in detail. Both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral defense relations and expanding cooperation in professional military training and security sectors. Pakistan and Libya agreed to further solidify defense ties and cooperate in military training. On this occasion, Lieutenant General Sadam al-Khalifa praised the professional capabilities of Pakistan's armed forces and paid tribute to their services for establishing peace and security in the region.
