US-Iran Agreement Will Take Effect Immediately: PM Shehbaz Sharif

(Digital Itla) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran has been electronically signed. In a statement, he noted that the agreement was signed by the presidents of both the US and Iran and will take effect immediately. Shehbaz Sharif stated that Iran will reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and the US will lift its naval blockade. He added that Pakistan, as a mediator, ratifies the US-Iran MoU. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further mentioned that technical-level talks will commence in Switzerland on June 19.
