Faisalabad Police Arrest 2 Suspects for Attempted Murder of Citizen Over Litigation Dispute

Faisalabad: November 3, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Following strict directives issued by City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain, Jaranwala City Police executed a swift operation, arresting two suspects involved in an attempted murder case over a court litigation dispute.

According to police sources, the suspects, identified as Majid and Yasir, opened direct fire on citizen Ahmad Shuja with the intent to kill him as retribution for pursuing a prior legal case against them. Responding to the crime scene, SHO Jaranwala City Police Station Muzaffar Ali led a police contingent, successfully tracking down and arresting both primary suspects.

Jaranwala City Police have formally booked suspects Majid and Yasir under relevant provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and initiated detailed investigative proceedings to recover the weapons used in the attack.

Commending the prompt police action, CPO Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain ordered that the investigation be bolstered with forensic and physical evidence to guarantee strict conviction in court. CPO Tanveer Hussain reiterated that elements threatening civic peace and intimidating litigating citizens will be dealt with an iron fist, reaffirming the police department's commitment to maintaining law and order across the division.
