FAISALABAD: Nov 5 (Digital Itla) — The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Faisalabad has arrested an office worker of the Municipal Corporation for impersonating a building inspector and soliciting a bribe from a resident, officials said on Thursday.
According to ACE authorities, the suspect, identified as Naib Qasid Ijaz Ahmad, falsely represented himself as a building inspector and demanded a bribe from a citizen, Muhammad Razaq, in exchange for approving a residential construction map.
A team led by Circle Officer Rashid Mahmood, under the supervision of Section 30 Magistrate Mohsin Saleem, conducted a raid and caught the suspect red-handed while receiving 25,000 rupees in bribe money. Case No. 56/2026 has been registered against the accused at the Anti-Corruption Police Station in Faisalabad.
