Karachi 16 Oct 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA): In a major judicial setback for law enforcement, a Karachi court has acquitted Anmol alias Pinky—previously labeled by police as the queenpin of an extensive narcotics network—in all five cases registered against her after the prosecution failed to produce concrete evidence.
The Additional District and Sessions Court (South) in Karachi accepted the defense petitions for acquittal in the remaining cases, issuing formal orders for her immediate release from custody, provided she is not wanted in any other criminal matter.
With this verdict, the suspect has now been acquitted in a total of five separate cases related to narcotics and allied charges.
Anmol Pinky was arrested on May 12, 2026, during an intelligence-led operation in Karachi's Garden area, where police claimed to have recovered heavy caches of narcotics and illicit arms. However, during trial proceedings, the prosecution failed to substantiate the recovery charges or satisfy procedural legal standards beyond reasonable doubt.
The complete collapse of high-profile charges against a suspect initially portrayed as a primary narcotics operator highlights severe investigation flaws, evidential gaps, and weak prosecution, raising pertinent questions regarding police case handling.
