Four Acres of Agricultural Land Available on an Annual Lease of Just 100 Rupees

(Digital Itla) There is good news for poor farmers, as they will now be able to acquire 4 acres of agricultural land on an annual lease of just 100 rupees. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz conducted a computerized draw in Lahore for the allotment of agricultural land to 30,000 landless and deserving families under the "Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar" (Your Farm, Your Livelihood) scheme.
On this occasion, she shared the good news with the poor farmers that they are being provided four acres of agricultural land for 20 years at an annual lease of only 100 rupees. Through the draw, 121,000 acres of land were distributed among 30,000 landless families across Punjab, while the provincial government will also provide 200,000 rupees in financial assistance to help them cultivate it. The Chief Minister of Punjab stated that the agriculture sector plays an important role in Pakistan's economy and is a key driver of economic growth. The provincial government is taking practical steps for the welfare of farmers and to create employment opportunities for the youth.
