Terrorist Attack in Ziarat Leaves 9 Policemen Martyred, 5 Missing

(Digital Itla) Nine police personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack in Mangi Phase 3, and a search operation is underway for five missing officers. According to details, terrorists attacked a police check post in Mangi Phase 3, Ziarat, Balochistan, resulting in at least 9 police personnel embracing martyrdom.

The Deputy Commissioner of Ziarat reported that the exchange of fire between security personnel and terrorists continued throughout the night. The police force fought the attackers with immense bravery and courage, repelling the attack after several hours of heavy clashing. He confirmed that a search operation has been launched in the area to locate the 5 police officers who went missing after the attack. The report noted that previously, a horrific blast in a busy market in the Sarai Naurang tehsil of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa's Lakki Marwat district martyred 9 people, including 2 traffic police officers, and injured 23 others. According to police officials, an explosives-laden loader rickshaw was detonated in the center of the market during rush hours. Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies and the injured to Naurang Hospital, where a large number of local citizens participated in relief work and donated blood for the injured.
