Sitara Group Inquiry: PM Office Forms 3-Member High-Level Fact-Finding Committee

FAISALABAD: October 22 (Digital Itla) — The Prime Minister's Office has constituted a three-member fact-finding committee to review the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) inquiry, FIR No. 35/2026, arrests, and parallel proceedings by both the FIA and NAB against Sitara Group of Companies.

According to details, former Federal Secretary Shahid Khan has been appointed as the Convener of the committee, while Chairman of National Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism Authority Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera will serve as its Secretary, alongside a representative from the ISI as a member. The committee will thoroughly examine the initiation, procedure, legal validity of the inquiry, and its referral to NAB, and submit its comprehensive findings to the Prime Minister within 10 days.
