Faisalabad: October 29 (DIGITAL ITLA) — As part of efforts to nurture historical awareness and intellectual development among students of public educational institutions, over 200 female students from Government MC Girls High School Peoples Colony No. 1, accompanied by their teachers, visited the Lyallpur Museum Faisalabad.

The highlight of the educational visit was the newly established historical gallery depicting the administrative history and foundational era of Lyallpur in 1896. Museum Field Officer Shahnaz Mahmood guided the students through various galleries showcasing ancient artifacts, historical coins, traditional apparel, and regional heritage. She provided detailed briefings on the early administrative setup of Lyallpur Tehsil, including vintage office equipment and Morse code communication tools, giving students practical insights into how governance and official correspondence functioned prior to the advent of modern technology.

Speaking on the occasion, Field Officer Shahnaz Mahmood highlighted that study tours play a crucial role in cultivating curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of connection with cultural heritage among young minds. She asserted that museums are not merely repositories for old artifacts but serve as vital educational platforms connecting textbook knowledge with experiential learning, while also educating students on museum etiquette and artifact preservation.
