Kamalia Murder Case Solved: Wife and Brother-in-Law Arrested for Poisoning Man to Death

TOBA TEK SINGH/KAMALIA: Nov 5 (Digital Itla) — City Kamalia Police have solved the high-profile murder of a resident, Abdul Rasheed, arresting his wife and younger brother for poisoning him to death, officials said on Thursday.

The incident occurred on the night of September 20-21, 2026, in Faisal Town, Kamalia, when the victim was administered poison. Following the crime, the victim's wife, Saadia, her three children, and the victim's brother fled the scene along with gold ornaments. On the directives of DPO Toba Akhlaq Ullah Tarar, FIR No. 446/26 under Sections 302, 380, 109, and 34 PPC was registered.

A police team led by DSP Kamalia Javed Akhtar and SHO Sub-Inspector Muhammad Afzal utilized modern technology to trace and arrest the suspects, identified as Abdul Waheed (brother) and Saadia Rafiq (wife). During interrogation, both confessed to mixing poison into the victim's milk due to an illicit relationship and their desire to marry each other. Legal proceedings are currently underway.
