Faisalabad: November 2, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Executing strict directives from City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain to apprehend dangerous felons involved in violent crimes, Garh Police Station achieved a major operational breakthrough by arresting eight suspects involved in a deadly shooting that left one citizen dead and eight others injured.
According to operational details, an altercation erupted during a local panchayat (village council) over a minor dispute. In a fit of rage, accused Azhar and his accomplices opened indiscriminate fire with firearms. As a result, citizen Shaukat Ali sustained fatal gunshot wounds and died on the spot, while eight other individuals, including Imran and Altaf, suffered critical bullet injuries.
Taking immediate notice of the violent incident, SHO Garh Police Station Sohail Amjad Anjum alongside his police contingent launched a targeted operation, arresting eight primary suspects, identified as Azhar, Shiraz, Imran, Abdul Ghaffar, and four accomplices. Garh Police have formally registered a murder case and initiated further legal investigation.
Commending the police team for the prompt apprehensions, CPO Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain affirmed that specialized police units have been formed across the district to track down individuals involved in heinous offenses. He reiterated that Faisalabad Police maintains zero tolerance for violence, unlawful assembly, and cruelty, pledging that the perpetrators will face uncompromising legal retribution in the court of law.
