FIA Faisalabad Zone Arrests Proclaimed Offender Involved in Rs 800,000 Overseas Job Fraud

FAISALABAD / SAHIWAL: Nov 6 (Digital Itla) — The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad Zone arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in connection with an overseas employment fraud case, an official spokesperson confirmed on Friday.

Acting on directives issued by the Deputy Director Sahiwal, an FIA team executed a targeted operation and apprehended the suspect, identified as Younas Masih, son of Lazar Masih. The accused had been nominated in FIR No. 71/2025, registered under Sections 17/22 of the Immigration Ordinance 1979 at FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Faisalabad.

According to case details, the suspect fraudulently extracted PKR 800,000 from a citizen under the pretext of securing job placement abroad, but failed to fulfill the promise or refund the amount. FIA officials confirmed that further legal proceedings and interrogation are underway, reiterating their zero-tolerance stance against illegal immigration and human trafficking operations.
