FAISALABAD (August 19, 2026): A meeting of the District Peace Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nauman Siddique to review arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ. City Police Officer Tanveer Hussain also attended the meeting.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Sara Zainab, Sahibzada Faiz Rasool, Maulana Riaz Kharl, Mufti Zia Madani, Shahid Razzaq Sikka and other members of the Peace Committee participated in the meeting.
The participants reviewed security, administrative arrangements, religious harmony and law-and-order measures for Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ celebrations. The deputy commissioner consulted the Peace Committee members and sought their suggestions regarding the arrangements.
Muhammad Nauman Siddique said all necessary measures would be further strengthened to ensure that Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ celebrations are held in a peaceful, harmonious and respectful environment. He said all relevant departments would perform their responsibilities through mutual coordination and cooperation.
He added that maintaining religious harmony, brotherhood and peace was a top priority of the district administration, while the cooperation of Peace Committee members was essential in achieving these objectives.
The committee members appreciated the district administration and police for making effective arrangements during Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA) and Independence Day. They assured the administration of their full cooperation during Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ celebrations as well.
The deputy commissioner thanked the committee members for their cooperation and said consultation and coordination would continue to further improve arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ.
