EPA and Urban Unit Hold Joint Meeting to Enhance Air Quality Index (AQI) Monitoring

FAISALABAD: Nov 5 (Digital Itla) — A collaborative meeting between the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Faisalabad and the Urban Unit was held under the supervision of Deputy Director Environment, EPA Faisalabad, Dr. Tahir Abbas Sial, to discuss measures for countering smog, officials said on Thursday.

The session was attended by the EPA operational team and District Engineer Engr. Ali Ihtisham representing the Urban Unit. Discussions focused primarily on the installation and effective monitoring of Air Quality Index (AQI) sensors to improve the accuracy and reliability of daily AQI reporting.

Both departments agreed on joint initiatives and coordinated strategies to strengthen environmental management and boost overall preparedness throughout the smog season.
