Desperate Father Sets Himself On Fire Outside Judicial Complex After Being Denied Justice for Daughter for 9 Years

Muzaffargarh / Faisalabad: October 31, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — In a heart-wrenching incident in Muzaffargarh, a distressed father set himself on fire outside the Judicial Complex after being denied justice for his daughter over a nine-year-long legal battle.

According to details, the victim, identified as Allah Bachaya, poured petrol over himself and set himself ablaze near the main entrance of the Judicial Complex. Onlookers and police personnel present at the spot managed to douse the flames. According to Rescue 1122 officials, Allah Bachaya sustained nearly 70% burn injuries across his body and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police and local residents revealed that nine years ago, a suspect named Tanveer was accused of sexually assaulting Allah Bachaya's married daughter in the Shah Jamal area—a tragic ordeal that subsequently led to the victim's divorce. Just a day prior, the court acquitted the accused due to a lack of evidence, prompting the suspect's relatives to celebrate the verdict outside court premises. Devastated by the outcome, the grief-stricken father took the extreme step in utter desperation. Police have initiated legal formalities regarding the self-harm incident.
