FAISALABAD: October 24 (Digital Itla) —

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), strongly condemned efforts by influential accused to pressure victims through financial inducements and compromise judicial integrity, while a new statement from foreign national Diana has surfaced expressing her desire to drop charges and pardon the accused.

According to details, CM Maryam Nawaz expressed deep concern over allegations that a wealthy family offered PKR 15 to 20 million to a victim to withdraw charges alongside alleged bribery in securing bail. CM Maryam Nawaz affirmed that she will personally monitor such sensitive cases to ensure no perpetrator escapes justice through wealth or power, asserting that "justice must never be for sale, and no one is above the law."

Concurrently, a major development occurred as the foreign national victim, Diana, raised questions over police action regarding suspect Ahmad Tanveer. Diana stated that she intended to appear before the court to record her statement directly but was forcibly sent back home under the pretext of life threats. She alleged that she was treated like a culprit being deported and expressed that she forgives suspects Mohsin and Uzair, stating her desire to discontinue legal proceedings.
