(Digital Itla) Details have emerged regarding the five iPhone models Apple plans to introduce by the year 2027. According to foreign media reports, Apple has designed a plan to roll out five new iPhone models by 2027 while simultaneously ramping up its production plans for foldable devices. Apple has instructed suppliers to prepare to produce around 10 million foldable iPhones this year, up from previous estimates of 7 to 8 million units.
Ahead of launching a foldable phone for the first time in its history, Apple has already secured parts for approximately 80 million smartphones for new models arriving in the second half of 2026. Its overall smartphone production for the current year is expected to exceed 220 million units. Apple's aggressive procurement comes at a time when a global shortage of memory chips—driven by the demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) data centers—has driven up costs across the entire industry. The company plans to introduce at least two new iPhones in the first half of 2027, including the standard iPhone 18 and a new "iPhone Air." This product roadmap follows price increases Apple implemented last week for its MacBook and iPad models due to rising memory and storage costs.
