(Digital Itla) Internet services have been disrupted once again in Pakistan, leaving users facing significant difficulties. An important statement regarding the internet disruption in the country has been released. According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), internet services across the country are affected due to a fault in the SMW5 submarine internet cable, causing some users to experience issues with internet speed and connectivity.
PTA stated that Trans World Associates (TWA) and the SMW5 consortium are actively working to determine the cause of the fault. Internet traffic has been shifted to alternative international links, and efforts are underway to maintain service continuity. The authority added that it is in contact with the relevant organizations to restore normal internet services as quickly as possible, and updates regarding the estimated restoration time will be shared as soon as they are received.
