Today, Pakistan is Recognized Globally as a Peacemaker: PM Shehbaz Sharif

(Digital Itla) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that today Pakistan is recognized as a peacemaker across the globe. Addressing the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Naval Academy PNS Rahbar in Karachi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif noted that due to the support of brotherly and friendly nations, alongside Pakistan's sincere mediation efforts, the historic Islamabad Accord document was signed between Iran and the United States. He highlighted that Field Marshal Asim Munir worked day and night to establish peace.

PM Shehbaz Sharif added that the recent visit of Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian not only reflects the brotherly ties between the two nations but is also an acknowledgement of Pakistan's role in promoting peace in the region. He remarked that Pakistan is navigating a complex and multifaceted path marked by a dangerous external combination of global and foreign threats.

The passing-out ceremony for the 125th Midshipmen and 33rd Short Service Course was held at PNS Rahbar, Karachi, where the chief guest, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was presented with a Guard of Honour. Officer Cadet Alveera Hamza from the Short Service Commission course was awarded the Commandant Gold Medal, while Officer Cadet Hafiz Muhammad Ahmad Munawar received the Chief of Defence Forces Gold Medal. The Academy Dirk for Midshipmen went to Hadi Abbas Khan, and Midshipman Umar Mukhtar was awarded the Honorary Sword for best performance. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the graduating cadets, noting that the Pakistan Navy played a prominent role in the battle of truth, and distributed prizes among the top-performing midshipmen and cadets. The ceremony was attended by Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar, and various political and military dignitaries.
