Security Plan Issued for 8th Muharram on Directives of CPO Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain

(Digital Itla) A comprehensive security plan has been rolled out across Faisalabad district, where 165 Majalis will be held and 63 processions will be taken out. Breaking down the regions, 19 Majalis and 4 processions will take place in Lyallpur Division; Iqbal Division will see 43 Majalis and 16 processions; while Madina Division will host 24 Majalis and 13 processions. Furthermore, 47 Majalis and 21 processions will be held in Jaranwala Division, alongside 31 Majalis and 9 processions in Saddar Division.

To maintain law and order on the 8th of Muharram, more than 2,800 police officers and personnel will be deployed on active duty. This deployment includes DSPs, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, ASIs, Head Constables, Constables, and Lady Constables. Snipers have been stationed along the routes of the Majalis and processions, around the Dhobi Ghat ground, at Imambargahs, police pickets, and on rooftops. CPO Tanveer Hussain added that strict monitoring of sensitive locations, Majalis, and procession routes is being carried out via CCTV cameras. Every individual entering the Majalis and processions will only be permitted after undergoing a thorough security check, as all available resources are being utilized to secure the mourners.
