(Digital Itla) Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari held a meeting with the organizers of Majalis (religious gatherings) in Faisalabad. The organizers of the Majalis and processions expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for providing comprehensive facilities. Provincial Minister Bilal Akbar and Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik were also present at the meeting.
The organizers' delegation included Jafar Naqvi, Syed Iftikhar Naqvi, Hasnain Shirazi, Muhammad Qasim, and Tasadduq Hussain. Abbas Haider, Mumtaz Hussain, Agha Mehndi, and Ammar Ali also participated in the meeting. Commissioner Faisalabad and RPO Sohail Sukhera, along with other administrative officials, attended the briefing. Speaking on the occasion, Azma Bokhari stated that Punjab Police and district administration officials are in continuous communication with the organizers. She emphasized that the peaceful conduct of Ashura processions and Majalis is the government's top priority, noting that special arrangements are being made for cold water stalls (sabeels) for the mourners. Heavy police deployments have been made for security, she added, while praising the exemplary harmony among scholars of all schools of thought. She expressed satisfaction that the organizers felt reassured by the government's measures.
