(Digital Itla) Significant progress has emerged from diplomatic talks between Iran and the US, mediated by Pakistan and Qatar. Following the talks, the US released some of Iran's frozen assets, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi made major announcements regarding sanctions relief and economic recovery.

Reacting to a joint statement issued by Qatar and Pakistan following talks in Switzerland, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that mediation by Pakistan and Qatar led to significant breakthroughs regarding the end of the Lebanon war, alongside the launch of a major reconstruction and development project for Iran. According to Araqchi, the US has restored some of Iran’s frozen assets, and sanctions on Iran’s oil and petrochemical exports have been lifted. He further claimed that the blockade on Iran has been lifted, which is expected to boost the country’s economy. Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that detailed discussions took place during the talks to lay the foundation for a final agreement, with positive progress observed regarding the implementation of responsibilities by the other party. Following the US-Iran talks in Switzerland, Qatar and Pakistan issued a joint statement announcing the formation of a high-level committee to oversee negotiations and the approval of a 60-day roadmap toward a final agreement. According to the declaration, both sides will advance technical talks and continue diplomatic efforts to promote peace, stability, and mutual trust in the region.
