(Digital Itla) A new digital financing facility by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has been introduced for women-led businesses. The SECP has approved the "Khud Mukhtar Khatoon" (Independent Woman) financing product, allowing women to secure asset financing ranging from PKR 100,000 to PKR 1,500,000. This financing will be available for purchasing machinery, equipment, and business assets.
According to the official announcement, the financing product will be introduced by Walee Financial Services and is completely digital and Shariah-compliant. Women will be able to apply for financing through the mobile app "Hakeem," and the financed amount can be repaid within one year through equal monthly installments. Promoting women's financial inclusion and entrepreneurial independence remains a top priority.
