Abu Dhabi Royal Family's 20 Crore Worth of Jewellery Stolen in London

21 June 2026

(Digital Itla) In a shocking incident in London, valuable jewellery belonging to women of the Abu Dhabi royal family was stolen, with the value estimated to be around £600,000 (over 20 crore Pakistani Rupees).

The incident took place on October 16, 2025, when Rawda Al Nahyan, her mother Shamsa, and Najla Al Qubaisi arrived at London's St Pancras Station via Eurostar. According to the police, while their driver was occupied, three suspects approached the vehicle, took advantage of the opportunity, and fled with three suitcases. These suitcases contained gold necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Later during the investigation, the suspects were identified with the help of CCTV footage. Two individuals, Abdel Aitkebir and Mehdi Fatih, have been sentenced to prison by the court; both had entered the UK illegally in 2025. The court was told that the stolen jewellery was sold to a market dealer for just £10,000, which is an extremely small fraction of the actual price. All the valuable items are yet to be recovered. The third suspect, Faycal Benomchiara, has been involved in other thefts previously and has also been sentenced to prison.
