Railway System Disrupted in UK After Train Collision

(Digital Itla) Two trains clashed south of Bedford. According to the British Transport Police, fire brigades, rescue teams, and police were called to the crash site following the collision. Due to the accident, all lines between Luton and Bedford have been closed. Bedfordshire Police stated in a social media post that external officers are also present at the incident site on the railway line south of Bedford. A spokesperson said, "All lines running through the area have been halted; please check your journey before traveling." Operator East Midlands Railway mentioned that their services are also being affected by this incident. Trains between London St Pancras and Leicester are facing disruptions, leaving commuters unable to travel into or out of London "for the remainder of this evening."
