(Digital Itla) A powerful blast in Bannu has resulted in the deaths of 7 people and left 3 others injured. According to a private TV channel, the explosion occurred in the Ping area of Domel tehsil in Bannu district, killing 7 people on the spot, while 3 were reported injured. Police stated that it was an IED blast targeting a passenger vehicle. Initial reports suggest the passenger Datsun was bringing commuters from Hathi Khel village. The vehicle of Tehsildar Sub-Division Wazir, Abidullah, was also hit and damaged in the IED blast; however, he remained safe. According to the Bannu hospital administration, minor children are among the injured brought in after the blast. All injured have been shifted to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital for immediate medical aid, while security forces have cordoned off the area. Upon receiving information, law enforcement agencies reached the scene, collected evidence, and launched a search operation after sealing the area.
