New Salary Packages Introduced for Contract Employees

(Digital Itla) New salary packages have been introduced for contract employees, and the new compensation policy will come into effect from July 1, 2026. According to details, the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has achieved an important milestone in protecting the rights and privileges of contract employees. Following formal approval, the PESCO Board of Directors issued a notification implementing the Compensation Policy 2026, under which employees will receive better career growth and new financial packages. The official notification issued by PESCO states that special scale-wise and stage-wise pay packages have been introduced for employees according to their designations. This newly approved compensation policy will be implemented nationwide from July 1, 2026. Matters regarding annual salary increments, leaves, and job promotions for employees will now be administered under the established rules of this new policy. The PESCO management clarified that following the implementation of this policy, all previous contradictory orders and regulations will now be subject to this new policy. The notification offers contract employees two options to become part of this new policy and gives them a 60-day deadline to adopt it. Employees who accept it will receive additional facilities, allowances, and excellent career promotion opportunities, while those who refuse to adopt this new policy will continue working in the company under their previous employment contracts. According to the PESCO notification, complete details of all approved pay packages, terms, conditions, and the policy have been uploaded on the company's official website for public information.
