(Digital Itla) A major and important change has emerged regarding the historic peace agreement between the United States and Iran. The venue for signing the agreement documents, i.e., the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), between the two countries has been suddenly changed. According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the ceremony was initially scheduled to take place in the city of Geneva, but it will now be held on June 19 at the Bürgenstock Resort, a beautiful and mountainous area in Switzerland. Explaining the reason for this change, Switzerland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this new location is considered highly secure and appropriate for security reasons due to its high altitude and difficult routes, which is why the event has been moved here. The greatest honor for this entire event is that Pakistan will host this historic ceremony. In this regard, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will depart for Geneva on Thursday, accompanied by Pakistan's Field Marshal Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and other key federal ministers. On the other hand, Iran's Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator, Baqer Qalibaf, will arrive in Switzerland to participate in the ceremony. The significance of this event can be judged from the fact that US President Donald Trump has also hinted at attending it himself. In a statement, President Trump said it is possible he might personally travel there to attend the signing ceremony. Along with this, President Trump also announced that he will soon bring all details of this entire agreement before the world. Speaking about the situation immediately following the agreement, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that a new round of negotiations between the two countries will begin as early as Friday. He further detailed that after the completion of this first phase, detailed negotiations will be held again within the next sixty days for a final and solid deal, and these sixty days of negotiations will openly address the Iranian nuclear issue and the complete lift of all economic sanctions imposed on Iran. The positive effects of this peace agreement have already started showing on the ground; following the removal of maritime hurdles, five major Iranian commercial ships passed smoothly through the crucial route of the Strait of Hormuz without any hindrance, marking a major beginning for peace in the region.
