Torrential Rains Forecasted in Various Regions of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

(Digital Itla) The start of a new spell of rain has made the weather pleasant across various areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the rain spell will continue throughout the day. Rain accompanied by strong dust storms hit various cities of Punjab, including Lahore, leading to a significant drop in temperature. In Sialkot, rain and dark clouds made daytime look like night. Heavy rains with strong winds in Gujrat and surrounding areas caused several electricity feeders to trip, suspending power supply in many areas. Intermittent rain also continued in Pindi Bhattian, Khanqah Dogran, Gujar Khan, Mianwali, and Zafarwal, making the weather pleasant with thunder and lightning across different cities. On the other hand, stormy rain made the weather beautiful in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Heavy winds, rain, and hailstorms began in Mardan and its surroundings. In Swabi, severe dust storms followed by torrential rain and hail made the weather pleasant, though several power feeders tripped due to the stormy winds. A spell of heavy rain with thunder also started in Fatehjhang and suburban areas. After a period of hot and dry weather, the PDMA has predicted dust storms and rains across the province, including Lahore, from today until June 20.
