Federal Government Devises Strategy to Pass Budget Before Ashura Muharram

(Digital Itla) The federal government has devised a strategy to get the budget approved before Ashura Muharram. According to parliamentary sources, the government will wrap up the budget debate as soon as the 40 hours are completed. More than 27 hours of debate have already been completed in the National Assembly session so far, and the cut motions will be concluded within a single day. According to parliamentary sources, the plan is to complete the lengthy process of approving the Finance Bill and supplementary grants within 2 days. The government will make every effort to pass the budget before June 24. Sources say the plan is to get the budget approved before the Muharram-ul-Haram holidays starting June 25, and government alongside allied members have been directed to remain in the city until Wednesday.
