Islamabad (Digital Itla): The post-Hajj operation for the repatriation of Pakistani pilgrims from Saudi Arabia has officially commenced. According to a private TV channel, the first flight arrived at Islamabad International Airport carrying 165 pilgrims, where they were given a warm welcome. At the airport, Chief Operating Officer Aftab Gilani, along with the airport manager and ASF officials, welcomed the pilgrims and presented them with flowers. According to officials, special arrangements have been made at Islamabad Airport to facilitate the pilgrims so that immigration and other procedures can be completed smoothly. According to the schedule, the second phase of the Hajj operation will continue until June 30, during which thousands of Pakistani pilgrims will return home. On June 1, multiple flights will operate to various cities, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, and Quetta. According to official data, around 119,000 pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme will be brought back to Pakistan via 471 flights, with various domestic and foreign airlines participating.
