Punjab Development Program: Quality Assurance Committee Representative Major Shehzad Inspects WASA Projects in Faisalabad

Faisalabad: November 3, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Pursuant to the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif regarding strict oversight of civil works under the Punjab Development Program, Major Shehzad, representing the Quality Assurance Committee, conducted comprehensive site inspections of ongoing Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) infrastructure projects across Faisalabad.

Representing Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza, Deputy Managing Director Engineering Shoaib Zia escorted the inspection head alongside Director Construction Sanwal Malik and Director Technical Hayat Randhawa. The Quality Assurance Committee representative personally inspected ongoing Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) sewerage pipeline laying operations across Akbar Chowk Gulistan Colony, Gulshan-e-Hayat Colony, Green Town, and Chak No. 7. Major Shehzad conducted quality checks on the RCC pipes and raw building materials, certifying the ongoing work as fully compliant and satisfactory.

Reiterating the administration's resolve, MD WASA Saqib Raza stated that aligned with CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision, WASA is committed to delivering state-of-the-art sanitation and drainage systems to the citizens of Faisalabad on an expedited timeline.

MD WASA highlighted that strict third-party monitoring mechanisms remain active to ensure total transparency in fund utilization and zero compromise on civil engineering quality. Once operationalized, these newly laid trunk lines will permanently alleviate sewerage overflows and extend infrastructure coverage to newly developed residential localities across the city
