Police Encounter Near Dhaira Sain Graveyard: Hardened Criminal Record Holder Ahsan Killed

Faisalabad: November 4, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Acting on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain to eliminate organized crime, a record-holder offender nominated in 10 serious criminal cases was killed in a police encounter within the jurisdiction of Ghulam Muhammad Abad Police Station.

According to police details, an operational squad headed by SHO Ghulam Muhammad Abad Yousaf Shehzad Supra, Incharge Police Post Sidhupura Ahsan Butt, and Incharge Police Post Ochkera was escorting arrested suspect Ahsan, son of Rasheed (resident of Sidhupura), near Dhaira Sain Graveyard for evidence and weapon recovery. Armed accomplices lying in wait opened direct fire on the police party to forcibly free the suspect.

The police team positioned themselves defensively and retaliated in self-defense. Once the firing ceased, suspect Ahsan was found critically injured by bullets discharged from his own escaping companions, succumbing to his injuries on the spot.

A spokesperson for Faisalabad Police confirmed that the deceased, Ahsan, maintained a heavy criminal record spanning 10 FIRs regarding armed robberies and other violent offenses. Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area to hunt down the fleeing assailants while formal statutory proceedings are underway.
