Faisalabad: October 31, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Dajkot Police have taken two suspicious women into custody following allegations of fraudulent biometric acquisition under the guise of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) in the Chamarli area of Faisalabad.
According to details and local sources, two women entered a residential house on Jalandhar Road, Chamarli, claiming sudden illness. Subsequently, the women used the pretext of registering the family for BISP financial aid, fraudulently obtaining their thumb impressions on a biometric device and handing them mobile SIM cards. Becoming suspicious of their activities, the residents threatened to inform law enforcement, prompting one of the women to tear her own clothes in an attempt to fabricate a defense and evade action.
Upon receiving the report, SHO Dajkot Police Station Rana Saleem quickly responded with an operational team and took both women into police custody. Police authorities confirmed that a thorough investigation has been launched into the incident to verify the allegations and unearth any illegal SIM activation network, emphasizing that further legal proceedings will follow based on investigation findings.
