Police Arrest Suspect for Pouring Petrol and Setting Father and Son Ablaze Over Grocery Dispute

Faisalabad: October 31, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Faisalabad Police have arrested a suspect involved in a horrific crime where he poured petrol and set a father and son on fire following a verbal dispute over grocery transactions within the jurisdiction of Balochni Police Station.

According to details, a heated argument broke out between the accused, Imran, and grocery store owner Sadiq Ali alongside his son Ashfaq over a monetary/merchandise dispute. Enraged, the suspect poured petrol on both Sadiq Ali and Ashfaq and set them on fire. As a result, both father and son sustained severe burn injuries, while the contents and inventory of the grocery store were entirely gutted in the blaze.

Taking immediate notice of the incident, SHO Balochni Mohsin Abbas led a police team to track down and apprehend the suspect, Muhammad Imran. Police have registered a case under serious criminal provisions and initiated detailed legal proceedings to ensure justice for the victims.
