FAISALABAD: Nov 4 (Digital Itla) — Police have arrested a man accused of shooting and wounding his mother over a dispute regarding her second marriage in Faisalabad, officials said on Wednesday.
The suspect, identified by police as Ali Hassan, allegedly opened fire on his mother, Nasreen Bibi, out of resentment after she married a man named Haq Nawaz.
A police team led by Inspector Mohsin Abbas, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Balochni police station, apprehended Hassan shortly after the incident. The victim was shifted to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The City Police Officer (CPO) of Faisalabad stated that strict legal action would be taken against the suspect, emphasizing that violations of the law would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
