Major Anti-Corruption Action in Toba Tek Singh: ASI Caught Red-Handed Taking 30,000 Rupees Bribe

FAISALABAD: November 8, 2026 (Digital Itla) — In a major crackdown against official corruption, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Toba Tek Singh arrested ASI Safdar Ali of Bhussi Police Station during a successful trap raid for allegedly accepting a bribe of 30,000 rupees.

According to details, ASI Safdar Ali had demanded 30,000 rupees from complainant Kishwar Bibi in exchange for registering a formal case. Acting on the grievance, an ACE team led by Additional Director Muhammad Sarfraz Waraich and supervised by a Judicial Magistrate in Toba Tek Singh conducted the raid, apprehending the suspect red-handed while accepting the cash.

ACE registered FIR No. 16/26 against the officer under Section 161 PPC and Section 5(2)47 PCA. Officials stated that strict legal proceedings have been initiated, reaffirming their zero-tolerance policy against corruption and abuse of public office.
