Faisalabad: October 28 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Faisalabad Police apprehended two individuals involved in lodging false robbery complaints via the Rescue 15 emergency helpline to frame rivals in fake criminal cases.
According to police sources, the suspects, identified as Anas and Zaheer Abbas, separately placed emergency calls claiming armed robberies. Upon receiving the alerts, police teams immediately dispatched to the specified locations for verification, where they discovered no robbery had taken place. Detailed inquiries revealed that the calls stemmed from minor personal fights over monetary transactions, with the suspects intentionally making bogus emergency calls to implicate their opponents in false cases.
Police acted swiftly to arrest both suspects. Commenting on the incident, CPO Faisalabad stated that the Rescue 15 service is dedicated to genuine emergency assistance, warning that strict legal action will continue to be enforced against anyone misusing the helpline.
