FAISALABAD: Nov 7 (Digital Itla) — Tarkhani Police arrested a bus driver on Saturday whose reckless and high-speed driving resulted in a fatal collision with a passenger rickshaw, leaving four people dead and seven others severely injured.
According to police sources, the accused driver, identified as Asif, collided with the rickshaw due to extreme negligence. The crash tragically took the lives of Shaukat, Maqsooda Bibi, Hadia Bibi, and Moazzam, while seven others—including Adnan, Misbah, Shazia, Khalid, and Subhan—sustained critical injuries. Taking immediate notice of the incident, SHO Tarkhani Police Station Muzammil Abbas launched a prompt operation and apprehended the fleeing driver.
A formal case has been registered against the accused at Tarkhani Police Station, and legal proceedings have commenced. City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad emphasized that negligence resulting in the loss of precious human lives will not be tolerated under any circumstances, warning of strict action against traffic law violators.
