DPO Chiniot Suspends 3 Constables After Viral Video Incident in Rajooa Police Station Jurisdiction

CHINIOT: Nov 6 (Digital Itla) — District Police Officer (DPO) Chiniot, Dr. Naveed Aatif, has suspended three police constables following a viral video depicting a violent clash between citizens and police personnel in the Rajooa police station jurisdiction, officials said on Friday.

The suspended personnel have been identified as Constable Shahzaib Kulyar, Constable Aqeel Sidhu, and Constable Ehsan. According to local sources and the viral footage, the incident erupted after police personnel were allegedly involved in harassment; when local residents resisted, the officers attempted to forcibly detain a youth, leading to a physical confrontation.

Taking stern notice of the matter, DPO Dr. Naveed Aatif ordered the immediate suspension of all three constables and assigned DSP Investigation Chiniot to conduct a comprehensive inquiry and submit a detailed report. Police authorities reiterated that misuse of authority or misconduct will draw strict disciplinary action.
