DC Inspects Ongoing Development Works at Katchery Bazaar, Aminpur Bazaar, Karkhana Bazaar, and Douglaspura

Faisalabad: October 30, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Construction work is progressing rapidly on five multi-level parking plazas to provide an effective and permanent solution to the persistent parking and traffic congestion issues around the iconic Clock Tower and its surrounding markets in Faisalabad.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Noman Siddique conducted a detailed visit to the under-construction parking sites, meticulously reviewing the progress of development works at Katchery Bazaar (Zail Ghar), Aminpur Bazaar, Karkhana Bazaar, and Douglaspura. During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner directed relevant authorities and contractors to further accelerate the pace of construction, making it clear that all parking plazas must be completed strictly within the stipulated timeframe to provide prompt parking facilities to the public.

Highlighting the significance of the mega projects, DC Muhammad Noman Siddique stated that these parking plazas will permanently resolve the severe parking crisis in the core commercial hubs. The new facilities will accommodate thousands of motorcycles, which will not only restore smooth traffic flow across the markets but also greatly facilitate the movement of traders, shopkeepers, and shoppers.
