Commissioner Orders Immediate Establishment of Dialysis Unit at THQ Hospital Shorkot

Faisalabad: October 28 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Commissioner Faisalabad Division, Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh, has directed the immediate setup of a specialized Dialysis Unit at the Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital Shorkot, pledging to personally oversee all administrative clearances so local residents can access kidney treatment without traveling to other cities.

During his visit to the THQ Hospital, the Commissioner interacted with patients and their attendants to verify the availability of free medicines and smooth treatment processes. He stated that following the explicit directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, comprehensive efforts are underway to transform public healthcare facilities into complaint-free domains while drastically reducing referral cases by equipping local hospitals with necessary modern resources.

Expanding his inspection drive across Tehsil Shorkot, Dr. Imran Hamid Sheikh reviewed service delivery at the Bahoo Park, General Bus Stand, Arazi Record Center, and the Tehsil Office. He announced that land selection for installing new water filtration plants across all union councils in Shorkot has been finalized. Additionally, he appealed to the farming community through the media to refrain from burning crop residue and instead adopt modern Super Seeder technology to prevent smog hazards during the current season.
