Faisalabad 16 Oct 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA): On the joint call of Central Ulema Council Pakistan and the International Tanzim Harmain Shareefain Council, nationwide Friday congregations observed solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, passing unanimous resolutions condemning recent drone and missile attacks targeting civilian areas and Umrah pilgrims in Medina and Riyadh.

Addressing the Friday sermon at Jamia Masjid Gol Faisalabad, Chairman Central Ulema Council Pakistan, Sahibzada Maulana Zahid Mahmood Qasmi, emphasized that Harmain Shareefain represents the spiritual core of the entire Muslim Ummah. He asserted that any attempt to jeopardize the security of holy sites, Saudi territory, or visiting pilgrims is unacceptable.

Resolutions were passed across all four provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, urging the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Government of Pakistan to take immediate diplomatic and operational notice of these security breaches.

The council further demanded an impartial international inquiry into the attacks, enhanced security protocols for Umrah pilgrims, and the immediate operational execution of the tripartite defense agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye.
