Woman Dragged on Street in Faisalabad; Police Delay Action Over Jurisdictional Dispute

FAISALABAD: Nov 6 (Digital Itla) — A disturbing incident involving a woman being dragged on a public street occurred in the Green Town area of Faisalabad on Friday, raising severe concerns over public safety and police response times.

According to initial reports, the incident took place around 10:00 AM opposite Ismail Home following an alleged domestic dispute. However, instead of taking immediate legal action, the Sargodha Road and Millat Town police stations were reportedly delayed by a jurisdictional boundary dispute.

The incident has drawn sharp criticism from civic groups regarding women's safety protocols in the city. This follows a previous unaddressed incident in the Mahmoodabad area of Sargodha Road, where a suspect on a bicycle harassed a veiled woman on video, yet remains at large.
