NAB Initiates High-Level Inquiry Into Wapda City Phase 1 & 2 and Other Housing Projects in Faisalabad

Faisalabad: November 3, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — TheNational Accountability Bureau (NAB) has formally launched a comprehensive inquiry into real estate irregularities, initiating investigations against Wapda City Phase 1, Wapda City Phase 2, and several other housing schemes operating across Faisalabad.

According to operational sources, NAB authorities have issued official directions to City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain, directing the district police to ensure the prompt service of inquiry notices to nine named individuals associated with the management and affairs of these housing projects.

The accountability watchdog's inquiry focuses on assessing alleged financial discrepancies, unauthorized land sales, execution of housing layouts beyond approved limits, and non-compliance with statutory development guidelines within Wapda City Phase 1, Phase 2, and adjoining housing ventures.

Following NAB's communication, CPO Faisalabad ordered local police officials to expedite the execution of call-up notices to ensure that all nine individuals appear before the accountability bureau for formal questioning and investigation.
