MD WASA Saqib Raza Sets Strict Revenue Recovery Targets for Departmental Officers

Faisalabad: October 28 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Managing Director Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Saqib Raza, issued strict new revenue collection targets to departmental officers, directing them to meet recovery goals across all consumer categories without exception.

Chairing a review meeting of the Revenue Directorate, MD WASA Saqib Raza specified that a minimum 95 percent recovery target must be achieved from industrial consumers, 80 percent from commercial connections, and over 60 percent from domestic consumers. He instructed revenue officers to actively engage in field operations rather than remaining restricted to office administrative work to accelerate collection drives. Furthermore, he directed officials to expand the network of commercial and domestic consumer bases and urged the PHS Directorate to boost its overall collection efforts.

MD WASA issued a clear warning that a performance audit meeting will be convened in one month to rigorously evaluate the progress of every revenue officer. He cautioned that failure to meet the assigned targets would invite immediate departmental action against non-performing officials.
