Faisalabad Police Launches Major Crackdown on Proclaimed Offenders: 5,738 Absconders Arrested This Year

Faisalabad: November 3, 2026 (DIGITAL ITLA) — Executing a high-velocity enforcement campaign under the strategic leadership of City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain, Faisalabad Police achieved a major milestone this year by arresting 5,738 Proclaimed Offenders (POs) across the district.

According to a Faisalabad Police spokesperson, intelligence-led operations, human intelligence network, CCTV footage analysis, and advanced technical monitoring were deployed to expose and dismantle absconder hideouts. The arrested fugitives comprise 2,125 Category 'A' (high priority) and 3,613 Category 'B' proclaimed offenders.

Detailed operational stats confirm the apprehension of 175 absconders wanted in murder cases, 212 in attempted murder, and 1,951 high-profile criminals wanted for involvement in armed robbery and dacoity. This widespread roundup of dangerous offenders reflects the district police force's operational readiness and strategic coordination.

Commending the performance of the police contingents, CPO Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain instructed officers to further intensify the crackdown against remaining absconders.
